Sustainability in our company

When we started Balance Collective our first goal was to be as transparent as possible. So many companies claim transparency but rarely offer any substance. We chose every part of our process, from our raw materials to our facilities to our partners, with care.

We also discovered that fast fashion isn't durable or timeless. Therefore we take the time to make sure that every single one of our designs are crafted with attention to details, and a high standard of quality. Our designs are timeless and genuine.

Beyond that, we wanted to find a community of people who cared about where their jewellery comes from as much as how they look and feel.

How are we an ethical brand?

We aim to be the most sustainable as possible in the industry. We commit to using recycled metal for the manufacturing of our pieces; naturally dyed fabric scraps for the production of our packaging and all products are hand crafted by ourselves.

We promote the idea that customers feel comfortable asking questions about the production chain in order to feel engaged on this subject, so that we can all get more educated on how to make ethical decisions when buying.

We kindly ask that our customers take the time to get in contact with us if there are any doubts about any of our processes.

Sustainability and Manufacturing

We source all of our materials here in Denmark, use fairtrade gold and silver, and as many recycled materials as possible. We also strive to avoid destructive traditional methods, such as for example using harsh chemicals in the jewellery making process.

Our upcycled, naturally dyed packaging is made from used textiles and garments. It is treated with non toxic mordants, and dyed with either parts of plants or foods that are considered waste, or plant matter foraged with care, in the local green areas of Copenhagen.
